Bluebell Walk, Hinton Ampner

On 3 May, Gordon Churchill led a small group of members on a four-mile walk through the bluebell woods at Hinton Ampner (National Trust). The bluebells were at their magnificent best as can be seen in the photographs taken on the day, in spite of the torrential rain two days earlier which made the footfall a bit boggy. The walk took a little over two hours at a leisurely pace so physical prowess was not competitive and everyone retired for a celebration tea and cakes in the café on our return to mark a wonderful experience.
